Renovation of a house/workshop.

This public competition aimed to find solutions for the renovation of two social housing buildings located in Brussels:

- renovation and insulation of all outer envelopes (façades and roof)
- installation of a ventilation system (kitchen, bathroom, WC).

Surfaces : façades : 3042 m² + 2475 m² / roofs : 447 m² + 447 m²

A project for a family house with its joined annexes (garage and kitchen) and spaces for horses.

Building a sustainable neighborhood of + / - 40,000 m² of social housing on the basis of a public-private partnership.
We have been selected by the promotor Thomas & Piron, with a team of five others offices of architects and urbanists, to participate in a restricted tender for the project led by the S.D.R.B - Tivoli quartier durable : buliding a sustainable neighboordhood including the development of the site called Tivoli, at Laeken, Brussels.

Programm :
— development of almost 450 housing
— planning of roads and parcs
— two nurseries
— integration of additional equipments

In order to promote diversity in the architectural approach, aach office has been assigned to realise a lot of housings.

This apartment replaces several small and poorly decorated maid's room found in the roof ...
We tried to bring in light, spaciality, cross views (interior/exterior), functionality, and simply pleasure.
We also, as usual ;-), designed some pieces of furniture that play with scale and lines of architecture.
